FAQ's

Are all of your pieces handmade?

Nearly all of them are!  We make them in our flat in east London by hand, and sometimes with the help of our laser cutter.  The nature of hand-making products is that sometimes they differ from item to item, so please bear this in mind when ordering a product.  We will do our best to make sure they are as close to the sales photo as possible. The only items we don’t make are the t-shirts which are made in a carbon neutral factory and are organic cotton.

We are using a laser cutter to cut wood into these accurate forms and sometimes this leaves dark marks on the edge.  Although we will be removing most of the marks, some patches may remain and this is part of the product.

What materials do you use?

We typically work with birch plywood for the basis of our products, along with some wooden veneers.  Wood is a natural material which differs from piece to piece, so please consider this when making a purchase.  The natural markings of exotic woods such as White Ebony can vary greatly, which makes your item original from any other.

The White Ebony wood can crack as it dries out, which can create small impurities in the wood.  Please bear this in mind when ordering a product.  If you see a crack in the White Ebony pendant then be aware that this is just a natural feature of the wood.  Although the wood is rare, it is not on the CITIES list for endangered species, is veneered (so we are only using a small amount of it), and has been imported legally satisfying all EUTR regulations.

tell me about your t-shirts?

Our t-shirts are made from 100% Organic Cotton and are fairtrade, and they have been certified as ‘neutral’ in their production. Go to neutral.com for more information. We have not produced the t-shirts ourselves, but have designed the artwork.

does the hand-spraying of paint always look the same?

The nature of applying colour by hand using an airbrush means there will be slight variations in the colour, hue and gradient on the coloured inserts. We will do our best to make each consistent but we are only human, the robots don't do everything for us yet!
