STATEMENT PIECES, INSPIRED BY TRAVEL
A contemporary statement necklace, inspired by the works of Russian avant-garde artist El Lissitzky.
Handmade in London.
We first discovered the works of El Lissitzky at the contemporary Berlinische Gallerie in Berlin. He was a Russian avant-garde creative, spanning a successful career in not only art but design, photography, typography and architecture. His style is distinctively graphic, typically using geometric forms in experimental arrangements and together with Russian artist Malevich, they developed the Suprematist movement.
Inspired by the artwork series ‘Victory over the sun’, the Lissitzky Necklace borrows some of the geometric forms and aims to find balance in their arrangement.
Bringing a touch of Russian constructivism to your neckline, the Lissitzky brings together angular geometry, walnut veneer and birch-faced curves. The piece is compact in size, just 11cm in width for the pendant and 70cm in the rope length. Each piece comes with a jazzy blue gift box that is made from recycled materials and can be recycled once more if your eco-heart desires.
