STATEMENT PIECES, INSPIRED BY TRAVEL
A contemporary statement necklace, inspired by the works of Russian avant-garde artist El Lissitzky.
Handmade in London.
We first discovered the works of El Lissitzky at the contemporary Berlinische Gallerie in Berlin. He was a Russian avant-garde creative, spanning a successful career in not only art but design, photography, typography and architecture also. His style is distinctively graphic, typically using geometric forms in experimental arrangements and together with Russian artist Malevich, they developed the Suprematist movement.
Inspired by the artwork series ‘Victory over the sun’, the Lissitzky Necklace borrows some of the geometric forms and aims to find balance in their arrangement.

Take care of me... I'm handmade!
My wooden parts have been finished but still need some love because they may get damaged.
Please don’t wear me in the shower.
Try not to put cosmetic products on me, I might stain.
You might snap me under excessive pressure.
Please keep me in my box or hanging so I don’t get squashed in a drawer.
My cotton cord rope will wear over time and will pick up dirt so do your best to keep me clean!
Your necklace will be sent to you in a Studio Mali gift box, complete with a jazzy sleeve, making it a great present for you or your favourite (and very lucky) friend.
