Founded in 2018 by Mark and Alison Fowler, Studio Mali designs and makes travel-inspired plywood jewellery. Every piece is lovingly made by hand from our home studio in Lewes, near Brighton.

Our dream of hand-making products came after a life-changing trip around the world, where we decided to leave our jobs, step off the tread-mill of life and spend more time doing something fulfilling that we truly loved.

The experience of travelling and living a simpler life showed us that living with less is satisfying and that it’s important that we cherish the items that we’ve chosen for longer.

This ethos is what inspires our products, and we are always striving to make our business a sustainable and ethical one.
